The Spit Roast and Hog Roast machines are versatile in that they use the same oven with different accessory packs for each application.  The oven differs from others in that our machine has been designed for easy handling and manoeuvring. The machine has pneumatic tyres to cope with soft or uneven ground, twin axles for tight turns and the front axle has a swivel handle for easy steering.  By careful selection of materials our machine is one of the most robust and also the lightest on the market, which contributes to the ease of transportation and is safer on the chef’s back too!

The Spitting Pig oven is fuelled by fully controllable stainless steel burners that do not rust and produce a good even flame for excellent cooking. It has powder-coated bright red doors and black body to present a smart and professional image. The high quality and durable finish ensures your machine will still enhance your catering presentation years down the line. We have incorporated a toughened heat resistant glass window into the door to give your customers and chefs a visual check on cooking.

When the spit roasting is complete, the doors are removed, the chef carves the roast and the client and guests can enjoy the full visual experience from the other side of the machine. The sight of the crackling crusted roasted spit is something to behold and an important aspect of a hog roast event, unlike other machines on the market where the chef carves from the same side of the machine as the guests,  equipment is designed to satisfy the eyes as well as the belly!

We have included a draining port at the bottom of  oven, this allows for hot water and detergent to be added and remain in place during cleaning of the burners, doors, drip-tray and sidewalls. The draining port can then be opened for rinsing and drying, it couldn’t be easier. The drip-tray and draining port plug prevent any spillage of cooking liquor when in use.

Spit Roasting

Spit Roast Machine cooks with Propane gas and will cook a 120lb/55Kg pig in 5 hours, a 40lb/18Kg lamb in 3 hours, a rack of meat joints in 3 hours or 30 chickens in 2½ hours (requires chicken spit attachment). Maximum weight 155lb/70kg. The spit is rotated by a reliable and robust British built motor of 240V, which will run and run (12 volt version available). The motor is attached to the machine by very strong 9mm steel brackets allowing you to easily remove it when transporting or serving.  – Spit Roast Machine has a serving tray included in the price that can also be used for cooking burgers, sausages, onions or vegetables.

 Hog Roast Machine cooks with Propane gas and will cook a 130lb/60Kg pig in 6 hours, a 40lb/18Kg lamb in 3 hours and a selection of rolled meat joints in 5 hours. The hog roast oven is versatile and allows you to roast foods as you would in a conventional oven. The hog roasting tray is deep enough to accommodate a large pig, the maximum is dictated by the size of the roast not the weight. Remember that the larger the roast the more portions you can serve at your event.  – Hog Roast Machine is ideal for the inexperienced hog roaster or to hire for non-professional catering as no spitting expertise is required and there are no moving parts to monitor.
